What I think led up to this is that someone from the production company knows a waitress with thespian tendencies. They were able to pay her as an extra by not giving her any lines. There was a bodge parked in front of the restaurant she works at, that everyone sits on when they take their cigarette breaks. They were able to get the owner to lend it to them. And on the way to shoot the thing, they passed by a Vespa dealership and convinced the parts manager to lend them a "Real" Vespa helmet to give the thing street cred.

Or we could just enjoy it ?

I think I have a good sense of humor. Through other careers, I have been a musician since the middle 60s. I still play out on occasion, and enjoy the interaction with the audience. I am often told, "You should be doing stand-up."

I have found that if you have to explain the joke, OR how the humor should be interpreted, it missed the mark.

Even written, I could see the humor in what was being written. After all, even a cranky old man can appreciate a pretty girl. And a scooter. Did I mention the view?

For the record, I have been known to "ironically" comment about the safety gear on the AGF Scooter Girls thread... or mention that I have the same outfit, but it doesn't fit as well. See, that's a joke, because I don't really have that outfit. In the words of the philosopher Mork from Ork: "Humor - arrr, arr!"

Please... This wouldn't be MV if we all just got along and agreed on something. The bickering, whining and bantering plus badgering is what makes us a good (albeit at times dysfunctional) online family. The karma system and mods help keep the worst of the drunk uncles away from family gatherings. The fringe players are usually relegated to the kiddies table.
