I have been flirting with the idea of getting a motorcycle but need some help/recommendations to help narrow down the options. I still have not ruled out getting another Vespa as I really like the GTS SuperTech.

I have some specific requirements. I want something >125cc but I need something light and narrow as I need to maneuver it into a passageway where it will be stored. So it can't be wider than a Vespa.

So far I have found the following:

1. https://www.yamaha-motor.eu/gb/en/products/motorcycles/hyper-naked/mt-03/

2. https://www.husqvarna-motorcycles.com/vitpilen/vitpilen-401/

3. https://www.fbmondial.co.uk/model/FB-Mondial-HPS-300

Anyone got any suggestions for the list?

I like the Husqvarna. Good looking well made bike and an attention getter for sure.

Which one? Please say electric as in you need a class M license to ride electric. They are getting better for sure especially if you only ride in town. The Ural concept bike looks especially interesting to me.

I've ridden 401 Svartpilen. The engine, gears and clutch were all really nice, as well as the lightness. Did I already say I really liked the engine.... Overall quality seemed good. The only challenge for me was ergonomy - Vitpilen is even more cafe racer style, so you should spend some time on the road to make sure it fits you.

Never ridden the Yammy, but they are highly regarded.... hard to rule out without trying.

Mondial have not yet earned my trust, but looks nice....

The huscvana and mondial are very small bikes physically, so if your slightly tall make sure knees bend that far.

The Yamaha is stunning imho, they've got the current design in the whole range just right currently.

Has rave reviews too.

Today, I'd get a Zero, 200 miles range on one charge. Here in the UK there's no need for special licence, that's ridiculous if you have that, makes no sense, shame.

License, what license?... says a guy, who had his first car license at a time when it was hard currency for virtually any vehicle. Lucky to me, they've kept just adding the new letters to it during the years, as it would be unfair to make me do any extra effort just because of the changes. And it sure would.

Around here you need the same license, no matter what is the energy source of your bike.
Light electric scoots, with max 15 km/h (or something like, can't remember) are treated like bicycles.

If your allowed to test ride them, trust your tush!

Best advice I've ever gotten was to trust whichever "feels" the best when you sit on it and ride.

Instead of trusting "your Gut" I say: Trust your BUTT!

Basically what I meant is I was hoping it was not one of those stupid e-bikes made out of Tupperware you see morons riding in the bicycle lanes with maybe a bicycle helmet on. You can now get "real" scoots and motorcycles that are electric that can go faster than 50 mph and I do like some of those. I'll admit I'm one of those that would never ride a smaller than 300 CC bike (or 2-stroke 200) though I don't mind some of the 150's. Under 150 CC's just... I don't see the point. That's just me though and whatever floats your boat is fine. BUT those little e-bikes drive me nuts and many other motorbike riders in big urban centres.

Shouldn't you say what you wan the bike for? Assume you have a full license? If security is an issue where you live then doesn't that rule out the Husky? Is there a budget? Personally I'd just go down to Metropolis in Vauxhall and take a tape measure. I'd also at least consider a Honda CB500R?

The bike is just for fun. Yeh I have a full license. Security not such an issue as I won't be leaving it out of sight much. I looked at the Honda CB300R specs but is a bit too wide. Budget-wise around similar price to a new GTS.

My favourite so far is the Husqvarna. They were very vague about the difference from the 2018 to 2019 bike. I believe they shifted production from Austria to India but didn't change any specs. There are good deal on 2018 models.

Yeh, the Husqvarna is basically a rebadged KTM. They are good bikes but I just don't like the style of them.
