Yes, I admit it...it was my fault...

I scuffed the side of MP3 - not horribly bad, but one of those things that would drive any one of us crazy....The scuff is about 3 inches long...

The good news-it's purely a superficial surface scratch...I think it'd rub out pretty easily...

The bad news-I have no idea what product to buy (or where to get it) - can you guys help?

Thanks as always -
Lee

If it is not too deep, any Chevy dealer has GM "swirl remover. If that doesn't cut it, try the finest wet/dry sandpaper. 2000+ can be found at automotive paint supply stores.

If it's not very deep, Scratch-X from your local auto parts store will work well. Rub hard and keep applying the Scratch-X.

All - thanks for the suggestions...I tried "Nu Finish Scratch Doctor" and didn't have anyluck....along with "Scratch X"....It's about a 3 inch 'deep scuff' - any other thoughts would be really appreciated...

Thanks!

scooter72,

"It's about a 3 inch 'deep scuff'"

Wow your paint must be thicker than mine! ;0) (I know what you mean).

Depending on where it is maybe a sticker/graphic may be in order.

3M Imperial Hand Glaze is the stuff you need. I have removed, or hid scratches like this in the wife's black Jetta. It has very fine abrasives with a filler type material that also feeds your paint. (Yes, you need to feed paint). The better detail shops try this stuff before machine polishing. It is also good to use on the entire body once a year for cleaning. Use your favorite wax on top when done.
