Hey Gang,

Long time lurker, first time poster. I have had a my 2007 LX 150 for about 6 months and it's been flawless. Today I was riding on a bumpy road and the Scoot completely lost power, nothing electrical was working. I assume either the battery has some lose or blown a fuse. Check and the 15a fuse on the left (light blue) is blown. Ok, lucky not to far from a store. Buy two replacement. Swap it in and off to the races. Drive about 2 more miles and it dies again. Same fuse, whole bike loses power. Put in another fuse, go maybe a mile loses power again. Call a truck and get towed home.

So obviously something is going very wrong. But where to start?

You have a wire that is grounding out to the chassis somewhere, aggravated by the bump you took. Start looking for bare wires touching metal or other wires.

Also make sure the battery is secure and the cables tight.

Find out where the wire goes. Then replace the fuse and do a, "Wiggle Test". You start wiggling wires trying to get the fuse to blow to assist in getting an idea where the short is located.
Once an area is located start looking for cuts in the wire hardness where two wires are touching each other or touch the frame.
