After riding my wife's new Vespa home from the dealer, I was hooked. She got the last yellow GTS at the dealer. I went back and picked up a vintage red one. This looks like great site. Are there rallies, meets or anything going on in the Sacramento area or Northern California in the next few weeks?

Sacramento~
You have a couple of options:
The Vespa Club of Sacramento meets at the Bonn Lair Pub on J Street. Tuesday nights around 8:00 P.M. . They like to stand out in front of the Pub drinking on the sidewalk. I sometimes join them to talk about scooters and stuff. The Burgundy Tops are a Scooter Club in Sacramento. They are having a Rally in Sacramento in October and you can find out more about it on Scoot.net. The Royal Bastards have a Chapter in Sacramento you can find out where their meeting are from the web site. RoyalBastardsScooterClub.com Andiamo you can find them on the web. Their is also a Meetup.com based in Auburn CA. Plan on attending the Topz Rally as you will get to meet alot of Scooter people from Sacramento. Me, I ride or Haul my Scooter to most of the Rallys in the Bay Area. The San Francisco Scooter Girls are Having their "So Far So Good Rally". They are having two different rides a long ride and a city ride. You and your wife should be able to ride side by side and feel comfortable with it without freeking out. You could both ride in the back of the group untill you both feel comfortable. Its different riding in a group of more than 100 scooters so please dont take this as some kind of put down. For someone that has never done a massive Scooter ride its a total thrill. Their are really good scooter riders that are crappy group riders. So figure out a way to drag those scooters to SF or heck they are GTS 250's ride them to SF. You will have a blast for sure. You can find out about the SFSG So Far So Good Rally right here on MV in the Rides and Rallys area. |

Thanks for Pming me! Sorry I wasn't able to make it out for the ride on Sunday!
My band is playing the Burgundy Topz rally in mid-October. I work in midtown and at IKEA. If you see a black Vespa with chrome...honk or say hi! I've got a fairly impacted schedule but hopefully can meet you before the rally! It sucks since I've wanted to hang out and meet all the great people that contribute on this board! |
