Hey. I need to change my battery on my 06 LX150. First, other than dealer (which is probably a ripoff) where do I get a new battery. Second, to install, there is a clear tube running down the side of my battery. I know Pos and Neg contacts...what is this clear tube? Thanks.

order a sealed battery-- yuasa YTX12-BS
search online, or hit a motorcycle store alot of bikes use this battery. you'll also need a a different battery tray to fit the bigger and better battery. you can pick one up from the dealer or motorsport. just ask for the updated battery tray. the clear tube is the vent for the wet battery. you won't need it anymore so just yank it through and toss it. best, -greasy |

Sorry for posting on this old thread.
So if I wanted the YTX12-BS I just buy one and ask the vespa dealer for the updated battery try. |

Sealed Battery's
Try RS Components for Yuasa sealed batteries, I got them on my classics, I've never had a problem with them and they last a lot longer than standard, in fact I hav'nt had to replace one yet after a couple of years using them. I'll be getting one for my GT when the battery eventually goes t-ts up.....Paul

Not sure where you guys are getting your prices from. There is a place here in St. Cloud that has them for $49, batteries Plus caries them for around $55, and the local Suzuki shop caries them for $76. I only paid $63 after a discount . Well I will be ordering a battery tray shortly to fit the new battery. I do however need to find two new bolts and nuts to fit the battery.
