I want to remove my front legshield "Vespa" badge, paint it, and put it back.

The question is, will it stay back on or is there an adhesive that I can safely reapply it with?

Any comments, suggestions, random topic changing posts, are greatly appreciated.

No, it's the actual badge that says Vespa. I know the Piaggio emblem can be removed, but I want to know if the Vespa badge will stick after taking it off or will I need another adhesive.

For all those who are going to say just buy a new one and paint it, I'm just trying to save the $25 and find another alternative. I'm not ruling that out yet, but I'd like to see what's up.

I know that others have removed the Vespa insignia from the cowls, but I haven't heard if they come off in one piece or not. I have heard that using dental floss can work with the removal - but haven't tried this myself and can't speak from experience. If you are successful, take pictures during the process and make it into a projects post.

I've debadges all badges except the front "Vespa" badge and the glovebox "GTS250ie" badge. The "GTS250ie" badge I chopped up into "Oi".

I want to paint the front "Vespa" badge black (might as well paint "Oi" black as well, as it would compliment my black wheels, but I wanted to know a little more about the adhesive that is used to see if it's worth keeping the old badges or getting fresh new ones.

The badges are installed with a thin layer of double sided adhesive. The badges are plastic and very fragile. If you bend them, the chrome paint will crack and may flake off. Good luck.
