just an FYI -

4,000 miles now on my '05 GT....

cleaned air filter; I was surprised by how clean it really was. however, next time i might just replace the thing as it's fairly messy to clean it.

oil - did get the 24 mm wrench....used one of those "strap" kinda wrenches you can buy at Sears to get filter off. worked very well.

coolant - much chat about coolant here, please let me tell you what i found on my scoot. i "topped off" yesterday with fluid type "per manual". checked here last night only to find that i really should be using an "OATs" type (no silicates, etc.). so i drained it today. color was green, exactly the same color of what i topped off with. flushed with 50/50 vinegar-water, then just water (distilled at all times), then filled up with Havoline DEX-Cool extended life. this stuff is RED.

my guess (and only a guess)....what i topped off with was probably same mixture as what came with the scoot.

FYI - to get a through draining of coolant system, drain then cover coolant cap with fingers and shoot a little compressed air (from a can is what i did) through a gap in your fingers. this will drain even more fluid.

all in all, these tasks were no big deal.

thanks

no...very easy

unhook lower water line at water pump (exhaust side of scoot).

be sure to have a new 1" radiator hose clamp on hand (i used a 3/4 to 1 1/4 clamp from auto zone).

no big deal to do.
