Rode down from Chagrin Falls, OH (East 'burbs of Cleveland)Sat AM (froze my behind off! It was 43 F in Mansfield Brr!) Took c. 5 hrs. on rte 42 mainly. Got to North Market c. 10:30-great breakfast. Saw Rovers Tim and Carol and Eric (whom you all know) straight away. Ate breakfast with Pedro (Capt US Army going to Iraq in Dec and served in Bosnia). Pedro is from Puerto Rico. Top notch guy. Ride acutally left nearly on-time (unheard of in scooter rally circles). Met up with Old Highway 7, Two Jacks and other Cols MVers too-great to see them in-person. Rode about 30 miles w/168 bikes!. Did the group photo and lunch stop then back to North Market for Cols. Microbrew fest. Rover Tim led the way thru the tasting. Hit the Taj Mahal on High St (No. Indian cuisine) with Eric, Evil Mel, Naked Dave and (the other) Amber. Awesome food! Checked into hotel, caught up on NCAA scores (wish I hadn't!),fell asleep/woke up, showered and made it down to High Five at 5th and High St for Music incl "Kings of the Highway" (psychobilly stuff like way-out "Stray Cats") and the "Cult of the Psychic Fetus" -different ) and the raffle (the last 2005 PX 150 in the US). Sun AM hit church in Worthington and Tim Horton's (yum!) and high-tailed it back to Cleveland. (There was a nice breakfast at 11 AM for those who could stay). Very nice rally, great people (as always) and great ride to/from.
Rallies 09/29 in Pittsburgh 10/06 in Windsor, Ontario. Try to make one near you!

See www.scoot.net then look on left for Scoot-a-Que X" photos. Keep checking as it may be a couple of days and it'll take a week for all to post.

I'm just going to copy and paste this from our club forum so i dont have to type it out twice...

A great time was had - thanks to Andrea for putting me up, and to all the cutters for their hard work in making the rally fun for all of us ...the Outlanders in your cornfield. ( hope someone gets the reference )

Highlights for me :

*The movie theater friday night that showed the original version of The Italian Job, and served up Arrogant Bastard on tap along with most of the good Bell's beers.. ( and lucky for me, iced tea )... it being midnight and all the scooter folks sitting with their legs up, drinking beers, and talking / laughing through the movie. Good stuff.

*Mel hitting the lead singer of "Cult of the Psychic Fetus", a man in white-face makeup, eyeliner and a black victorian trench coat, SQUARE in the face with a "Nationwide Insurance" inflatable beachball in the middle of the song. For as good as i thought that band was ( "this song is about making love to a corpse!" was how he opened one number )... the beachball and other bizarre rally swag being banted around really was an odd juxtaposition.

*Our club banner that the cutters temporarily modified with their own club logo ... looked great hanging up at breakfast ( and is safely back in our posession now ).

*The fish that we stole in retribution, that we were supposed to win + take home for best club turnout anyways...

*Dave's tiny 4 pound Chihuahua, Rally, for being the tiniest dog i've ever seen ...and one that probably never recieved so much attention as the Saturday night afterparty.

*The TV that we burned in the bonfire in dave's backyard. ( Well, tried to)... i cursed it for cancelling Arrested Development while we all kicked it ala the printer in Office Space.

Also - some really cool pics were taken ( here's me, Nashville Dave and Mel talking outside the friday night venue )

I think they said Julie and Lisa? Might be wrong on that one. They were gone when the drawing was held.

Here's a picture of the fire at Dave's.

SAQ. what a blast !
I of course as you all know I had a terrible cold, it sounded worst that it was! There was no way I would have missed this for a cold ! I got to meet all my cyber space friends god it was so nice to meet everyone, hope I did not pass on my cold to anyone !
The ride out to Gahanna with 140 some scooters was so cool, and then to really brighten my day Tom and I decided to lead a small group back to the market when we looked in our mirrors we saw at least 20 scoots following us HOW COOL ! I said " what cold" I feel great !

The weather was perfect the sun was warm and I had 20 scooters following me !

Thanks Cutters I had a great time .

I think you could make big money with that raspy voice on those 1-900
number things! (That I've heard about!)

Every town where a Homer Simpson lives, there exists at least one Kwik-E-Mart.

I better mind my manners.
