How Do I Drain And Change The Engine Oil On A 2003 ET4.

I've read the posting about the gear oil thank you, it was very helpful. Now I need to change the engine oil and filter. It is probably very straight foward, but I would like someone who has done it to confirm. I don't mind buying a manual if I have to, but this is my first port of call. I've tried downloading the ET4 manual on this site but it is very blurred. Cheers guys Crying or Very sad emoticon [/b]

I'm guessing it's pretty similar to the LX?

Check out the procedures in this link. Maybe see if the parts on your bike look the same? Good luck!

Wow, I don't know if my posts would be considered the most precise.
You'll need a 24mm spanner to remove the oil drain plug, it's right by the exhaust. To remove the oil filter I usually use a really big flat head screwdriver. Don't forget to grab a set of needle nose pliers to remove the oil screen located inside the drain when you remove the drain plug. I usually use blown air to clean it, then put it back in.
The bike takes about a quart of oil. The best way to check the oil level is with the bike off the center stand. Hope that helps.

Really? Crap. Is this true for the LX as well?

Yeah. The difference isn't that much. Just some useless/useful tidbit of info.
