without better pics of the tunnel and floor... and more detailed description...
unless you're well versed in vintage scooters and/or have a background in vintage car restoration and/or have deep pockets... this is a pass at anything close to market. I mean, it's all there, and it appears all the hard to find and expensive stuff is there, but man... this is not for the faint of heart. that floor and tunnel is, or appears to be... oof. like super rough. something about the seat looks off. maybe it's just not on right? the front end looks a little wonky. I don't know if it's the perspective but the tire looks super close to the fender and the fender looks super close to the body. and this is before the whole: does it start and run and ride-- judging off the cables you can see all hoop-a-jooped, I'd give it a "maybe" and if so, then more than likely poorly. which makes me question any and all other work that may or may not have done. then you got no title which is *makes weighing motion with hands* ehhhh... you could go buy a great specimen for something like 6~8K so figure about half-ish of that. |

Thank you Guys! I do have a VS5 back home in Argentina and I'm aware of how much of a pain the ass they can be.
They're just so rare that I can't put a price on it very easily. The asking price is 5k, but it seemed a to high to my understanding of the GS model. I appreciate your input. Will post a pic of my own gs soon ![]() ![]() |

First off, that's a AMAZING looking VS5 you have down in Argentina! I'd be honored to ride out on that thing any day of the week.
Looking at that one you shared here, I also think there's something going on with the front fork, which is almost certainly a bent fork and might also mean a bent frame. Plus the question of how much rust is going on around the tunnel. If you'd be doing your own welding work, then that's more time than $$$, but if you're not, unless it checks out on closer inspection, definitely discount your offer a grand just for that. Hi, price is always tricky but it's always going to be going up for an all original scoter. I bought this GS 150 vs5 for 10k and it's not working. It had to spend 3.5k to completely restore to engine with the minimum parts to replace for a professional shop. If you wan to fix it the value is always going up.
