The original Vespa prototypes were named 'motore prototipico' plus a number. The Vespa museum has an MP6 made in 1946.

I'm told MP3 stands for Motore Pontedera 3, the factory being in Pontedera, the 3 being the number of wheels.

So I wonder what the first "MP3" was. I wonder what all the MPs were.

I hope they come out with a "VHS". Or a "PDF". That would be great.
