MILEAGE 24045, AS I PULLED INTO WORK, SERVICE IS THIS FRIDAY,NEW TIRES, BRASS EXHAUST BUSHING, WATER PUMP, AND WHATEVER TAKES PLACE AT THIS SERVICE. FUEL MILEAGE STILL OVER 80 MPG. LOGEST TRIP IN ONE DAY 300 PLUS MILES ........... RIDE ON[/b]

24,045 miles - my gosh! You must have been riding when you posted that.

pretty close.....jumped off ,got on the computer and posted away...lol.....by the way the dealer is lending me a mp3 while it's in for service...

You really get 80 MPG? How fast do you ride? I thought I was doing some riding with 22,100 miles. I get 64mpg loaded up on a trip at 60 mph indicated and 70mpg one up with no load.

I just recently got 80mpg on a ride with mostly no stops, fast and slow.
On my daily commute (lotsa stops, WOT take-offs), I typically get 73.

actually 82 to 84 mpg, the speeds are anywhere from stop and go to to 55mph... actual, i am very gentle with the throttle when pulling away from stops. maybe thats why i didnt change the belt till 14000 miles???,

I was wondering what the record was for first year of driving. How long did it take you to go 24,000? I commute from Oakland to San Francisco on weekdays across the bay bridge and usully ride a bunch on the weekends.
