"Started as a spark plug post..." is rather long and this is actually a question about fuses that might benefit other 2015 GTS300 owners...

I'm having starting issues (see other post, if you want), so I'm trying to check the starting wiring (including fuses) using the 2015 GTS300 service manual and a wiring diagram. To my surprise the service manual and wiring diagram have different fuse configurations from each other and both fuse configurations differ from the LABELED fuse box in the bike itself. Does anyone know the correct configuration?

From the ABS-specific 2015 GTS300 service manual:
Fuses
The electrical system is equipped with:
1. six protection fuses «A» located in the glove
compartment to the left
2. of a fuse «B», located in the battery compartment.
FUSE «B»
Specification Desc./Quantity
1 Fuse no. 1 Capacity: 30 A
Protected circuits: Main system.
FUSES «A» ABS VERSION
Specification Desc./Quantity
1 Fuse no. 2 Capacity: 7.5 A
Protected circuits: Inclination sensor, starter button,
control unit, immobilizer aerial, ABS control unit.
2 Fuse No. 3 Capacity: 10 A
Protected circuits: Control unit.
3 Fuse No. 4 Capacity: 7.5 A
Protected circuits: Pre-installation for anti-theft device,
turn indicators, horn, lights relay, stop lights, USB socket.
4 Fuse No. 5 Capacity: 15 A
Protected circuits: Front headlight, electric fan, Pre-installation for anti-theft device, instrument panel, ignition
switch.
5 Fuse No. 6 Capacity: 7.5 A
Protected circuits: Taillight, instrument panel, front turn
indicators.
6 Fuse No. 7 Capacity: 20 A
Protected circuits: ABS control unit.

Also, the service manual numbers the fuses ascending from right to left (there's a photo), so the fuse order as given in the manual's picture (shown by me from left to right) is: 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. Fuse 1 (30A) is in a different location by the battery.

The wiring diagram lists 9 fuses.

The LABELED fuses (I pulled them out - there are labels as to the types of fuses to put in each slot) in the glove box compartment are:

theschuman,
I also have a 2015 GTS300. It has exactly the same layout of fuses (6 of them) as in your photo. This corresponds to what is in the Owner's Handbook that came with the bike. The fuses have obviously been changed since the manual and wiring diagrams were written. The handbook that actually came with the bike new, should be the most up-to-date reference.
The only other fuse is the 30A one in the battery compartment.
Cheers, Jim.

Thanks, Jim in NZ, for directing me to the owner's manual. I bought the bike used and didn't get a manual, but the manual on the internet has the fuse arrangement in the order (from left to right) 2, 6, 4, 7, 5, 3 and then a table explaining the Amp rating and description of each fuse.

It will be tricky for me to trace the 9 fuse wiring diagram, but hopefully I can figure it out. Thanks again.

Theschuman,
Yep, may be tricky using the wrong wiring diagram. I can't find the correct one for our model, with the 6-fuse layout as your photo shows it. If anyone has one, it would be greatly appreciated. The 2014 factory service manual and the Haynes manual published 2014 are both different from this, and unfortunately Piaggio doesn't put a wiring diagram in the Owner's Manual.

Brilliant jimc, the 2015 wiring diagram looks like the one we want. Thank-you very much. I'm not sure how significant the "USA" designation is (for my NZ bike), but it's the best so far!

An intermittent non-starting issue. At this point it's mostly a regular non-starting issue with an occasional start. See "Started as a spark plug post; now down the rabbit hole we go".
