Well that's that mystery solved
Big end is gone. New crank or new Conrod?
60mm crank probably cheapest option. Will go a bit better too.

Can this be done with the engine still on the scooter?

I'd drop the engine. Clean it, new crank would be best, new bearings, seals, etc. Fix or ditch the autolube, you decide...

You're going to learn a lot doing this. Nothing much more complicated than you've done already.

Looks like the autolube has failed but will be easy to fix. I would say the clutch side seal is damaged with the overheating. Bearing is likely to be ok, if there is still gear oil in it.

You said you want to keep it standard but there's no reason you can't put it together better than it was and still look standard.

Split the engine before ordering anything. If its all the usual you will need these parts as a minimum.

Clutch plates
Clutch K nut
Cruciform
60mm crank
1.5mm base packer
fly side bearing
Crank seals (Malossi)
Part to fix autolube
