Modern Vespa

Hello everyone and thanks a lot for your time.
I am a rookie when it comes to Vespas , never owned one but i always loved them.
Soon, ill be visiting my hometown for vacation Rhodes , Greece and im thinking about purchasing one to get around nicely and with style. So, long story short i came across to this online sale and this guy is selling his Vespa P 125 1981. From the pictures that thing look amazing. However mechanically not sure if its good or worth it ( i guess i will have to have it inspected before the purchase) . His asking price is EUR3500(Negotiable) . Whats your thoughts about the model and also which price tag will be reasonable for this Vespa? Please check pics below.

I expect that to be overpriced at that mark.

Looks kind of bodgy to me. I'm not saying it's a bodge in the traditional SE Asia way (I don't think they normally do P-ranges there), but those saddle seats and whitewalls are not my cup of tea.

However, if the look works for you and it checks out mechanically, I'd say around EUR2000 would be top-end in most of Europe. Maybe Greek island markets are a different thing though.

Definitely not a bodge. It just looks strange with the separate saddles. The shop that did the restoration is very reputable. Overpriced, I'd say yes. Unfortunately vintage vespas have become a fad in Greece, so prices have skyrocketed for the past 10 years. If you're on FB, join the following group. There's a nice PX200 in Patra and a 2012 PX150 near Aigio for much less...

Yep - like I said, it looks a bit "bodgy" without being one, which I think would annoy me even more than a genuine Viet

Safis Thanks alot for your responsed. I requested to join on the facebook page and from there see if i find something more reasonably. Unfortunately, it will be a big hustle for me to go to Patra or Aigio. I prefer Athens , Peiraias or Rhodes . But yes i'll definitely take a look .

This P200 looks to be housebroken, so maybe no leaks. More power and about half the price of the similar one you found. Which does look well done but there are SO many cheaper P's available in Greece and most are 200's.

Did you notice? That's right, one of those rare P's w/ no blinkers! WANT!
