I just pulled off the facemask and said "Rather nice, isn't it?"
It's all about the right gear.

Until you have to wipe the snot running from your nose while wearing a balaclava, it's really not cold.
And this is my personal belief : If you can't ride in the rain, you're not really a rider.
Riders in the UK definitely get my respect. It doesn't rain so much here in the South, but when it does, it can last all day - if you have no place to go, I suppose sitting under an overpass is fine. To me, that's the sign of someone that really doesn't want to ride, they just want to be seen riding when the sun's out.
Forget about fashion, buy gear that does the job. We are literally spoiled with all the choices in waterproof and cold weather clothing. Fifty years ago you basically had the choice of either a leather jacket that soaked up water like a sponge, or a leather jacket that soaked up water like a paper towel.
