There have been a number of thefts of scooters in my neighborhood and in the last two months I've had The front wheel lock bent twice by would be thieves. The repair shop has suggested leaving the front wheel lock unlocked so they don't keep trying to break it, but locking the rear wheel.

The super thick chain I have barely fits through the rear wheel and only does so with an oil covered hand or burning my fingers off on a hot bike. Not ideal for commuting in a suit with my bike. Any tips or suggestions for types of locks to use on the rear wheel of an LX150?

There's a wiki on security. I'd suggest using an easy to see disk lock on the front and your existing chain with an anti pinch pin on the rear wheel. Also try and park in a well lit area.
