I took my carb apart to clean it and after re-assembling my scooter LX150 does the following:

-starts fine
-idles fine
-when stopped and I give gas, it boggs down for 3-5 seconds before moving.

I took the carb apart again to see if I messed anything up and noticed the check balls and springs are in different orientations.

The one in the corner near the gasket: The ball is on the bottom, the spring is on the top. (check photo)

The one in the bottom of the bowl: The spring is on the bottom, the ball is on the top. (check photo)

Can anyone tell me if this is the correct orientation or is one of these backwards? Would this cause my bogging down symptom?

Thanks!

Jkess, I wish I was smart enough to help...
And others will post shortly. I just wanted to comment, that was a very well formed and documented question.

Did you blow all the ports out with compressed air? Sounds like a blocked main jet to me.

WEB-Tech, Yup, blasted everything out with compressed air. There's more to the backstory, this was all over a year ago and I haven't been riding much at all (since it's been running so poorly).

I just wanted to confirm the check balls were assembled correctly before messing with anything else or trying to clean more.
