Modern Vespa

Today while riding back home from work, first the turn signal switch light (on instrument cluster flickered & went dead & both front and back turn signals stopped functioning, then I noticed the temperature gauge was also at zero even though in stop go traffic the fan came on and off.
Engine is running fine, no other issues except these two are kaput.
I wonder if it is some loose connections in the headset or is more than that.
The switch doesn't seem to be loose or sticky.
I will take it apart over the weekend and see whats going on.
Any ideas on what else besides loose wires/connections it can be that I should check.
Just finished replacing the shocks, engine oil, gear oil and was going to do a coolant flush and change soon.
Now have this to deal with. Yay . I have started to read up on the forum bout these issues to see if I may get a clearer picture as to what maybe happening.

Is the taillight working? If not it could be a fuse, I believe is a 7.5 amp located in the glove compartment.

So tail light is functioning. Fuses are ok.
I have to take the headset off and check the switch and see if it can be fixed if not I will order a new one.
Not sure why the temperature gauge is also out.
Have to search for troubleshooting the problem at hand.

I had a connection corrode on the back of the headset instrument cluster last year or year before. The temperature gauge stopped working, which was what made me take it in. Before that, I had been riding for about a year with a nonfunctional low fuel warning light. I ended up having to get the entire instrument cluster (speedometer/odometer/fuel gauge/temperature gauge...that piece) replaced. It's a little annoying that I have two mileage readings, since you can't roll the new one forward before installing...but I'd rather a little annoyance in bragging rights (no really...there's almost 18k on another odometer!) and have a working temperature gauge and cluster.

Interesting today I noticed, the fuel gauge is now gone kaput. Seems like when I remove the instrument panel I shall find the same thing corrosion and have to hope that I can clean it and it will be fine but maybe I better source the parts, Ill look to see if I can find them locally. Doubt it but ya never know.
Going to be fun figuring it out.
