Hi everyone,

I need to replace one of the high beam bulbs on my Maksor-modified headlight assembly (both sides have high beam and low beam bulbs. Is this the correct part? I wanted to check before I order it. Thank you!

I'd like to make the switch to LED bulbs for mine. Would like to see pics once installed to see how they look on the street.

I could attempt to do so, but not sure of the legality of adding LED headlight bulbs here in Germany since they are not standard. The other part is finding a quality bulb that is going to have the light and beam output on the road that looks good. I see a lot of them on Amazon and the link from the OP, but being that it is a PITA to replace the bulbs, I would like something of very good quality that I don't have to worry about.

I understand your caution Charles, but I used to know a fellow who had a Pugeot Metropolis with modified Headlights and apparently they're legal. From what I hear is that between 5000 and 6000 candlewatts would be the way to go. Of course I wouldn't consider myself an expert on recommening the right quality

What on earth is a "candlewatt"? Do you perchance mean 5000-6000°K (degrees Kelvin) - the measure of the colour temperature?

I don't think that would work with the Modification you have unless you re-wire.
I think you just need a H4???? Bulbs that have both the Low and High Beam filaments similar to a Vespa GTS Bulb. But I could be wrong. Maybe ask Maksor what he used.

This may work?
But you need to confirm that they are H4 Bulbs.
That way you would still have Dual Low and High Beams, but as LED's.

Actually the Candlewatt means how bright the bulb sheins, but I believe I got that mixed up with a normal Bulb. I forgot that LEDs are measured by color temp. My bad.

There's no such thing as a candlewatt.

There are candelas and there are watts. Two completely different units, measures of two completely different (albeit sometimes related) phenomena.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watt

Muddling units is not wise...

Well I thank you for this bit of Seintific Enlightenment Mr. Sientific Genious! I am very sure that you have made the net a much better place by showing a not so Technically correct individual in public the error of his ways. Suddelty is not one of your strong points, isn't it? I can admit when I'm wrong. I have no problem with that, but to publicly insult someone on the web is going to far.I am not as stupid as you may think!

actually the light output is in lumens, the color is in kelvin, Watts is the power usage and the volts is the carrier of the electricity.

Hello Old as dirt. Let jimc explain it to you. Apparently he seems to be smarter than anybody else in this Forum.
