Salve!

So.... Is it a sin to put one on? I can't get these small frames out of my mind but I love having the storage from my ET4 w/ Givi top case.

Does anyone have a Top Case mounted on a vintage wasp?

Grazie Mille

I do (if a PX qualifies as vintage). Was lucky enough to find a colour matched genuine Vespa case very cheap on eBay. Yes it takes away from the look of the scoot but it's so practical that I don't care. Saves carrying my helmet everywhere.

That doesn't look bad! My ET4 has one, it's so damned convenient! My only draw back from getting a vintage Vespa was storage and functionality since I use mine to commute to work.

I think my case is from an ET4. I painted the 'backrest' white to match the seat. The rack is pretty unobtrusive I reckon. I had to drill a few holes in the base of the case to bolt it on. I often commute on mine, depending on what part of town I'm working in. Another reason for the case as I take everything I need for the day.

I have a huge top case on my P200, half of the "professor dork" package (I don't have the tall windscreen with fairing that extends out to the grips. But I like the space my top case affords, and I can travel with a watermelon or a few six packs of brew.

I'm at Naples, Italy at the moment, if it isn't locked down, it gets stolen. The top case helps!

I wouldn't bother having a case if I lived in Europe. It would get broken into everyday.

But it was only test fitted and it's a nice Givi w/ clever quick detach base that you can't access unless the case is open so you can leave it in the garage most of the time when you don't need it and want to be stylish.

I'd like to get the same topcase that Bobo has on my one of my PX's. I do lots of commuting, so it would be very handy to have.

I think a top case looks all wrong on a vintage Vespa.

This looks better in my opinion.
https://www.saddlemen.com/r1300lxe-deluxe-roll-bag-universal

I have one, and when I'm wanting a top case it just clips on a rear rack with hidden straps. When I don't, it comes off easy and goes back in the garage. That way I can use the rack any way I like.

That one looks handy but you can't lock your helmet in it which is a big thing for me.

First time I used only for long trips custom aluminium top case on my LML for long trips.
But it turned out to be so comfortable that I now use it every day.

I was never really into those top cases, personally. I'm more about the BBQ grill/milk crate. Can't lock anything up, but where I'm at theft is hardly an issue at all. And I feel like it fits the vintage vibe a little better IMO.

I had a zipper bag for a while on my P200E, but like was said I couldn't lock it. Found this one on Craigslist for $40 and it was great for a couple of years. It locks and unclips quickly. When I sold the bike I kept it and have it on my Aprilia.

It may not be pretty, but it sure is handy.

Where can you get that case? I may want one for longer trips. I like how you can mount a rotopax to it. I have a rotopax that I had to hack together a sheet of metal to attach the mount to the back rack in a sandwich. Its not ideal solution, but I could drill holes into the side of one of those cases to properly attach the rotopax mount and have dry storage for those long trips that I am planning but yet to perform!

There's a PX for sale in Sydney with this set up. Good for touring but I reckon wind buffeting would be an issue.

This is a custom handmade topcase. A small company from Ukraine "Mamaj Garage" - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100006501363283&sk=media_set&set=a.1945542512339109&type=3 This is a copy of some kind of branded topcase, but much cheaper. But it makes no sense to you - shipping to NY will be very expensive. And yes, this is not a Rotopax, but Hunersdorff. https://sip-scootershop.com/en/products/fuel+can+hunersdorff+fuelfri_90815510
