Tow truck driver tightened the straps to tight and now the handlebar plastic now is rubbing the cowl plastic.
What do I need to look for when I take it apart?
Pushing forward really hard on the handlebars helped some, but still rubbing a little.

A picture would be great so I knew what the spacing should look like.

Tow company is paying for any damage I find. Well the drive will be. Told him I would try to fix it myself.

This is my BV. You can see that the space between the handlebar cover is not quite even. Could be that mine has been down a couple of times. I don't have pictures with the covers off but from the handlebar and brake holes it looks like the handlebar cover may be attached to a metal bracket inside the bottom of the plastic cover. Maybe that's all that's bent.
(I can't see if photo attachments are working with my phone)

The picture didn't come across...

From the front it looks like there's about a 3/16" gap between the plastic pieces, though on mine it's about 5/16" on one end and 1/16 on the other. From the back there's about 1/8" gap, and it's fairly straight on my BV.

The scoot is currently on my trailer, on my way to meet Fledermaus, Madison Sully, and Gitder for a ride around Michigan.

Thanks, really hope he just bent the bars forward a little bit. I pulled back and up really hard and that helped as it's just hitting on one side now. Don't want to push it any further till I get it apart and can see what's going on.

The equator must have turned upside down. Here is Houston we just got our first cool front. 89 degrees (f), clear sky, north breeze, and humidity in the 40s. Feels like fall. In my 68 years I can't ever remember a cool front in July.

Looks like he just bent the handlebars down, can't find anything bent once I took the plastic off. Can't really tell if the bars are bend but can't figure out what else it could be. So ordered a set. Hopefully gets shipped before they shut down in EU if they aren't in a US warehouse.
Laad time to dealer was 5-7 days, so solds like they are in stock in the US.

One good thing I now have Euro Blinkers in the front. The back ones were done a while ago, just have to switch over those to the Euro lens next weekend. All the electric is done for the rears and just working in my US lens for now.
Rears would have been done when I modified the wiring, but I was to stupid to understand the bulbs I was to use were the amber ones from the blinkers stalks I had removed. Facepalm emoticon
