Please, forgive me if this is old news to many of you, but I recently discovered how useful my iWatch is for navigation on my bike.

Before staring my ride, I put the destination into the Maps app on my iPhone, then put the phone in my pocket. After that, i get turn-by-turn directions from the Maps app on my iWatch.

It helps to position the iWatch on the inside of your left wrist for easier viewing while riding. If you have an iWatch give it a try.

It works but is awkward with gear on, even shorty gloves. I just go with either Apple Maps or Google Maps and a comm system with voice instructions. For longer trips the BMW has a GPS.

I've been using an Apple watch since they first came out; on my second one now and continue to find good uses for it. I don't look at mine while riding (it would be under my jacket sleeve and glove), but I can feel the "thump" on my wrist when coming up on a turn. I use my phone on a RAM X-mount for GPS - much easier to see than the watch, but the watch is a good companion to the phone.

I've had one since day one and love my Apple watch. Funny thing is what I miss the most when not wearing it is the ability to look at my wrist to tell the time. Whoda thunk?

Like Jim I don't look at my watch while riding. When I feel the haptic feedback I know something is coming. I usually get the watch notification before my headset tells me which way to turn.

Only thing I don't like is that on really bumpy roads one of my gloves kept pushing the crown button so my watch decided to send a notification of assistance needed to my husband, son and brother. So I've turned that feature off.
