Hi all!

Still new to this wonderful community, but have now placed an order for my new GTS 300 which should be arriving in the next couple of weeks.

Kitting it out with various parts including racks etc. and have a query regarding the front folding rack - I am looking at buying an Oxford Aqua T30 roll bag to strap to the front, which is 50x35x35cm (50cm width) when filled.

Do I need to worry about this width hindering oncoming driver site of my front indicators? Is there more than 500mm between the indicators (I doubt it!) or does the rack lift bags above the level of the indicators? I know I could of course rely on hand signals if they are hindered, when indicator for the benefit of oncoming traffic, but would rather not!

Thanks in advance!

just looked and that is quite a big roll it may well cover or block the indicators but as you say you can always use hand signals.

Thanks very much mate - I don't suppose you have a GTS 300 though do you, and could potentially measure the width between the indicators?

On my 2006 GTS 250 the outside of the turn signals are 48cm apart. So the 50mm bag would hide the indicators. I've not had issue with that but have noticed that as I pack the front rack it does not take much to impede the headlight making any riding at night problematic.

When I had a front rack on my 2012 300GTS, I rarely used it, except for really wide "stuff" which I needed to keep a watchful eye on (ie tripod, wider boxes, etc.). I never found it to be a bother as I we more concerned about the motorists behind me, knowing where I was turning. Just my 2¢, mate.

Also very helpful mate, thanks! To be honest, I expect to be the same in terms of using it rarely - I am thinking of the times when me and the wife go on trips together, and so will have the top box on the rear rack, tunnel back on the floor rack and potentially the Aqua T30 on the front rack. Normally, without her, I expect to only use the rear rack and/or the tunnel rack!

I think if it stays at the level of the rack you should be OK. If it droops over the side it may cover.
