It's like anything really.

The more people you involve in anything the more complicated it gets.

Keep it simple.

Less means more.

Griffin, do you have Grandstand tickets for Spa ?

I must have been to that circuit maybe 15 times.

I believe we are sitting near Eau Rouge. First time to the track. I've been to the Circuit of the Americas near Austin (once) and Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal 4 times. Grand Prix weekend in Montreal is fantastic, the track is accessible by Metro and everyone is in a good mood. I've been there when it has been near 80 Fahrenheit and other about 45 Fahrenheit and drizzling. Didn't matter. In addition to Spa, this will be my first time at Monza. I'm hoping they both can be as entertaining as the recent F1 race at Hockenheim. I will be at both tracks in my Alfa Romeo Kimi Raikonen regalia. Got to support the oldest guy driving, even if he's young enough to be my kid.

Spa is easily the best racing circuit in the world so if you can on the Saturday take a walk around the circuit especially the bit that takes you back from the go cart track to the pits.

The cars are very impressive to watch there and if it rains - which it probably will you can hide under the trees.

I was there in July and I'll probably be back in October.

We managed fine. Very experienced riders, and first timers. A blast. Italy is a country in a hurry, for no reason, to go nowhere. [/img]

I'll try, at my age, I don't know if I ever will be back so I want to drink it all in. On Sunday we will meet up with an old colleague of my wife's and grab a drink and something to eat as traffic eases out of the track.

Side saddle -- not just in Italy. Made this picture in Denver. Wouldn't take much of a bump in the road to cause flesh to rub on pavement...
During the Vietnam War it was required passengers sit side saddle on motorcycles and scooters, so they could not throw hand grenades at troops.
