Just so ugly - but endearing and ugly can grow on a person. Especially if red. But too heavy, but heavy can grow on a person , but pricey but ...

more, more, more...just got the go ahead from the wife, will soon be getting rid of the busted Stella since it has been busted for a year now and putting a deposit on the MP3 500, the ultimate commuter.

needs a crank, clutch, and a topend...mechanic that "fixed" it a year or so ago never torqued the clutch nut so the woodruff key took a beating and screwed the crank and the clutch. haven't had the time or money to get it fixed and it is not a priority right now.

Who the Fuoco makes the Fuoco... I want one!!!! where can I find one? Is this just the fancy new name for the MP3 500??

um, no...the mp3 500 is the American name for what Europe already has in the Gilera Fuoco 500. We have been hoping that they would bring the Gilera here, and now they will be.

now I'm interested, is the 500 mp3 actually the Gilera product re-badged? or a different 3 wheeler?

Yes it is exactly that, the Gilera 500 re-badged as the MP3 500.

What's the ETA on this model?

As early as January or as late as April.

I just took a Fuoco 500 out for an hour from my local dealer. Wanted to try it on the motorway and the engine certainly has plenty of pull at all speeds (I only went up to about 85mph today).

Lots of wind noise as the standard screen is useless.

Lots of plastic (I prefer painted metal or plastic) but this is all black plastic.

Overall though, fun to ride. My biggest issue (apart from its ugliness) is that it is just not comfortable to sit on. Same as the MP3 I think, but knees are too high and seat for the driver is too small. Why not give some space to the driver rather than the passenger.

Until a new seat comes out I could not ride this over my GTS.

Alternative is the Nexus 500 which I will try next week.
