I got my recall warranty done today. I had no issue with my brakes, but since the VIN was one of the recalled, my shop did it. They said they have 54 that need to be done and got in 5 kits. I was lucky to be the first. I feel no difference before and after.

I just bought a 2020 Super Sport but the dealer is storing it until the weather improves. I messaged them about the recall yesterday. More to come.

The recall will fix this problem and this problem is the reason for the recall. In addition the dealer will extend the warranty.
Merry Christmas!!! |

The letter I received from Piaggio say's nothing about extending the warranty ?? When I got mine repaired , the dealer said nothing about an extended warranty period ?? |

Got word of several hpe riders here that have the brake issue, and although a recall is in progress here, their dealer told them their vespa is not in the list, despite having same problems. Seems a work in progress, issue with ABS pump and trouble evacuating air. You can always try the recall link, but it might not always list all problems. Entering your VIN might tell you more.

Thanks for the link. Mine is one of those affected. The form is case sensitive.

I'm thinking maybe just a little bit more research and development was needed on the brake front before the scooters were released for sale.
Has anyone actually had any scares or is the loss of braking progressive ? Bill x |

Not a real scare, but it did get my full and undivided attention. I pulled the lever and it came almost back to the grip and there was very little slowing down happening .
Glad it was at the end of my driveway before I entered the street. |

Not for more than a week ,
I took it to the dealer he bled the system several times and thought it was ok. When I went to pick it up after leaving it at his shop overnight . It was bad again so I left it with him. He bled the system several more times , delivered it to me and it was ok for a few weeks . Then I didn't ride it for about two weeks and it was back to spongy, long lever pull again. Now the recall has been done, have not ridden it for a week , it feels ok in the garage . Am off on a ride tomorrow , so fingers crossed that it works or I'll implement plan B . |

Went out for a 20 mile putt around the area yesterday.
Front brakes worked as they should . Hope this puts the problem to rest. |
