Hi I'm new to the scooter scene. I got myself an et4 as a non runner and me and my dad who has a good knowledge of scooters plan on getting it running again. I first changed the battery over and the brake lights and indicators came on but didn't flash. There is no spark either I checked by repacking the plug and holding it against the engine. We have another et4 so I can borrow parts to find the solution. Thanks

I bought an ET4 that I sorted out the fuel and air issues on and it ran for an hour or so before the CDI went out. I guessed it quit after getting good and warm. Still had enough current to turn over and allow a weak spark, just not enough. Ohm reading was within spec (10 I think). Good luck with it!!!

Ok does it have original keys? Et4s have an immobiliser and CDI unit combined, which is also responsible for indicators, and ignition, spark.timing, the key has a chip linked to CDI, if your CDI unit is bad would explain symptoms you describe, cdis are expensive and you would need to get your keys linked to new CDI at dealership, maybe cheaper to find parts bike and hope CDI works on it, you can also buy a bypass immobiliser on eBay, for under 100 dollars. Try swapping CDI and lock barrel off running et4, hopefully both leader engines, and if everything works it's definitely CDI.
I bought a parts bike and and a bypass immobiliser CDI unit off eBay, back on road and sorting out last few issues now. Goodluck
