Hello

Anyone ever painted their wheel nuts? I'm thinking of painting mine and was wondering if the paint will just flake/peel when I tighten them up?

Ideally 'coloured' ones would be better. I've seen alloy ones but not steel.

Any tips or advise will be appreciated

TIA ... Mick

I have some wheel nut covers on my VW Beetle, they are black plastic that just push on. Can't remember where I got them from but that's what Google is for? I assume they won't be the right size but you may get lucky? Happy hunting.

You can find nut covers in all kind of shapes, sises and coulors all over the net.

How about these:

Easily done, and if you're careful pretty easy. If you're doing rattle can stuff, bake in a low temp oven (or stick them in after roast Sunday dinner as the oven cools) which to me seems to harden the paint faster and harder, that using Mr. Sun - oh, but that doesn't happen that time of year there does it?

Might also be good to choose a color where you can get a high temp version, not sure on the Vespa, but car lug nuts get can get hot.

Cleaning the inside of the socket will also help

I'm somewhat tempted by these:

(But I guess these aren't wheel nuts, come to think of it!)
