On my p150s I have autolube with an oil light in the speedometer and no sight glass. It does not work because the wires have been broken on the sender unit and this will need to be replaced. The other option is to fit an oil bottle with a sight glass which I think is the best option. Can anyone draw me a template as to where exactly to drill the hole and what size it is. It would save me a few headaches trying to work it out by looking at pictures on the internet. That would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Coops

Seems easier to run a new wire through the frame up to the headset.

BTW, what does a P150s gas tank with an oil tank and no sight glass look like? Wasn't aware that was an option on p150s. Is it similar to a regular oil tank that comes on a P? Or is the oil tank apart of the gas tank just with a separate oil section? Do you have any pics?

or just keep it topped up.

I rarely let it even show in the sight glass

it's the same as the p's but does not have a hole in it for the sight glass. the two wires in the sender unit are snapped off on the sender unit and it is not possible to reconnect them. the wires on the harness are fine.

yes. It's a strada. I can get an oil tank and sight glass but I need to know exactly where to put the hole and what size it is. If someone could draw me a template from their P series frame and email it to me or just jot down some measurements that would help heaps. Cheers Coops

I pulled some measurements off of my 1980 US market P200 autolube frame.

I used a flexible metal ruler to get the measurements on the curved areas. Make sure you do the same.

I'm off to Bali in about 10 weeks and I am making up another shopping list for Benkel Vespa in Dempasar (My favorite shop ever), while I'm there. I will try to get a sender unit tor the oil tank while I'm there but if I can't I'll get an oil tank with a sight glass. I'll keep you guys posted. Cheers Coops
