I'd like to quote Dennis Leary at this point.
Meat might taste like Murder but Murder tastes pretty Goddam good doesn't it. Bill x |

Who is Dennis Leary and who is Murder ... if the joke is not addressed to me you are not obliged to explain it.

Caustic ?
I think that's very unfair. I talk about the facts and from my own experience and I chose not to default to the emotive. It saves a whole bunch of time. Bill x |

Dennis Leary was one of the best stand up comics who had a pragmatic view on life.
Murder is the act of killing something or someone. It's mostly premeditated. Bill x |

Bill ... if you want today go to a real Italian restaurant and eat a nice plate of tortellini with ham (Rana) with ragù and as a main course a roast veal with potatoes, all washed down with a liter of authentic Lambrusco reggiano; you will see the world in a better light. I hope i inspired you.

This has been an interesting read. Pretty much called out the direction this would go in the second reply to the OP. If we started a NSR related food thread about what's better, Chinese or Italian cuisine it would probably go in the same direction.

Sorry
Sorry to revert to the thread topic. But I was going to say that I HOPE Chinese motorcycles are good. Evidently the Lightning Strike will be assembled in the US out of China-sourced parts, thus explaining its relatively low price, relative to the ElectroHOG. If it provides the advertised performance, and seems to be of good quality, I'll probably be signing up for one. The Strike, that is, not the ElectroHOG.

You know I'm actually torn on whether I prefer Chinese or Italian food. Depends on my mood. Sort of like how I decide which bike I am going to use most days. |

Moto.it: Benelli e il traguardo delle 50.000 moto vendute nel mondo.
http://www.moto.it/news/benelli-e-il-traguardo-delle-50-000-moto-vendute-nel-mondo.html Aug 21, 2019 Benelli and the milestone of the 50,000 motorcycles sold in the world A record, not only symbolic, that Benelli could already reach at the end of 2019. Just five years ago, Benelli reached five thousand We have already written about the rapid growth in sales achieved in Italy over the last two years, as well as the singular success of the TRK502 which in July of this year was the most purchased motorcycle in Italy. The growth trend of the Chinese Benelli, is controlled by Qianjiang Motorcycle, is important and goes hand in hand with the construction of a new-generation motorcycle range that will soon see other innovations of medium-high displacement. Detected in 2005, Benelli QJ has in fact documented waiting almost ten years to see its production reach 5,000 units. In 2014 the total Benelli registrations in Italy touched the 500 units and the most sold vehicle from the brand was the Caffenero 150 scooter (147 units). A year later, sales jumped to 905 thanks to the sale of BN302: 393 units sold in Italy. In 2017, thanks to the arrival of the TRK 502 which totaled 929 sales in its first year, registrations rose to 2,040. To jump to 5,077 the following year: in 2018, 2,233 TRK502s were sold and 1,396 units for the Leoncino 500 model. Additional data provided by the company MotorcyclesData adds that Benelli sales in the world, again in 2018, amounted to 43,137 units and that in the first half of this year there was an increase of + 8.9%. ⚠️ Last edited by Attila on UTC; edited 1 time

I've been searching for a lighter replacement and they are about the only name I recognise.
Most of the ones advertised are just mufflers not an entire system. The baffle box is incredibly heavy so I'd like to dump the entire thing. Bill x |
