Can someone please tell me the correct tool I need to hold the rear pulley - clutch drum - as I need to pull off the variator cover (to adjust the valves; what a crappy design by Piaggio but hey, nothing surprises me - anyone tried to change the speedo cable AND keep all the skin on their knuckles?!!)

Search Modern Vespa for "clutch tool" and you'll find several options: a ready made tool by Buzzetti from Scooterwest & other online vendors, and a few DIY tools like this one -- even a tool made from a bent U-bolt by Jess.
