Modern Vespa

My dealer tried to tell me that there are first run and second run tires(tyres) sold throughout the country......In other words If i buy cheap off the interenet ........I will be getting a second run (inferior) made tire.....vs. ......He only sells 1st run tyres, that are the best....this applies to all major brands and makes including the michelins I am looking at.......Is there any truth in this?

This is true there are first and second run tires out there but not all internet sites sell second run tires. I like many others on this site have bought from American Motorcycle Tire. The quality is #1 and the prices are very competitive. In the past 4 years I have bought at least 8 tires from them and all have been top quality. Give them a try yourself. I don't think you will be disappointed.

I just looked. They don't list my rear tire. Usually when someone sells "seconds" it means they are cosmetically flawed but still structurally sound.

Does a merchant have to disclose it if he is selling second run tires?
