Modern Vespa

I was watching The Detectorists, season 3 when I saw Simon and Garfunkle riding a Vespa! It sounded heavenly. It must be a 2 cycle. Anyone seen the show, that season, and can tell me what model that might be? Sorry, this is the only picture I could find on the web.

Looks like a fairly modern Vespa PX with stalk mirrors and hydraulic brake.

Is that similar to the Genuine Stella 2 stroke? I think I need one regardless...

Except it has a Piaggio emblem on it. Of course anyone could have added that.

Don't know about the Vespa but I did watch the series and much enjoyed it. Highly recommend it for viewing.

PX FD, 2005 onwards, probably 150. New, clear lens headlight, clear lens turn signal lights, new style EU tail light and disc brake (brake master cylinder clearly visible)...

I think I take issue with that statement. I might buy "similar to", but not "basically the same". (and I've owned a Stella )

All I'm saying is put Piaggio Vespa badges and speedo on an LML Star 2t (as plenty folk do) and only a real n̶e̶r̶d̶ enthusiast can tell them apart.

You will be able to tell them apart as soon as the mechanical and electrical failures start. That's what I was saying. (experience talking here)

True enough, but you can often use Piaggio parts because its basically the same 8)
