Bought the scoot 2 days ago. Purchased a new battery, then checked fuel. Bone dry. Added gas and immediately had a major leak where the distribution valve goes into the tank. Tightened round band clamp but still leaks some. Any ideas before I disassemble?

Anyone have links to parts diagrams? (2003 ET2)

Suggestions for parts distributors? Online? Or near Everett, Wa?

Thanks!

It sounds like you're describing a leak around the fuel tap area (check Page 51 in the diagram - Part 12).

Could just be the hose, which you may can find at a local parts house, or go to scooterwest.com and create an account. You can shop by your scooter to filter the right parts. Good luck with it!

A new O ring and positioning clamp correctly on tank stopped the leak.

Empty fuel tank takes 1/2 gallon to turn off low fuel warning light. Should get 25 miles once the light comes on?
