Looking at replacing the spark plug. Called 2 scooter repair shops and was told to use NGK BR9ES. I pulled the plug and it was a BR8ES. Which one is correct? BR8ES being the hotter one. Pulled plug had minimal carbon build up.

What is the correct gap?

From the manual:
Tightening torque 25-30 N·m
[010502] Engine
Electrode gap mm0.5 - 0.6.
Recommended type: Champion N2C.

Either plug should work, I would try it and see which one runs better.

I know this is an old post, but for anyone who came across it via Google search, I found in a separate thread that the manufacturer recommends BR8ES. 😊

I've always seen BR9ES as the recommended ET2 plug. But it's not going to make a difference in the grand scheme of things.

Many thanks for the clarification! 😊 I had hard time figuring out what the right answer was and it's awesome to have a clear answer. 🫶
