I notice that when I search for scooters/motorcycles, it shows everything from led shop lights to quadrunners and the wrong bike/scoot. It reminds me of robo calls. All they have to do is list every name possible below their add and it pops up when you search for stuff. Very annoying

You can flag any ad on Craigslist. If you feel you need a reason, you can think of ads with a lot of junk in the description as "Miscategorized". Flagging an ad hides it from you so you don't have to look at it again. Even if you don't want to flag an ad as "Prohibited" you can hide it. That's what I do with the annoying posts.

Ok now I see it but how do you set it as a default? I have to set the filter every time I search.

There's an option to search titles only. I'm not sure you can set any preferences on Craigslist but selecting that will solve the problem you're describing.

If you want to search for a certain model scoot, check on the search titles only. Filters out a lot of junk.

Also, there's an option for "List/Thumb/Gallery/Map" view. If you select "Gallery you see all the photos spread out on one page. I find it easier to scan the photos when I'm looking for something.

set up the search parameters how you want them, then bookmark it before you enter the specific information. When you want to do a search, hit the bookmark.

You can also use boolean search indicators on Craigslist. For example, if you want to search for "scooter" but not return things like Razr scooters and mobility scooters, you can search "scooter -mobility -razr"

I find that Internet explorer works better than my regular mode of Mozilla.
Search Tempest WAS! my former search engine for CL but it no longer works as once was. It was a real time saver and efficient back then. If there's anything comparable I'd like to hear about it? |
