Hi all,

I seem to be becoming a frequent poster on here due to the never ending issues with my MP3.

So at the beginning of the week, my turn signals went out along with the headlight. That was rectified by swapping fuse 4 out. Bingo as soon as I did this I know have the turn signals working and the headlight but the right light is constantly on full beam. If i switch to full beam both light do that but when I turn it off again, the right one stays on full beam and the left on low beam.

Anyone come across this?

Also any decent companies that sell mods/accessories for MP3 250's had a look around and there ain't much. Would love to look at a new exhaust, and break pads.

I would hold off on any mods until you figure out some of your problems.
Mods, can create problems; so stay clear of any changes for now.

My first thought on what you describe is you may have a bad switch on the handlebar. One of the common mods is to take the spring out of the switch that way when you press the function to flash someone and it springs back, it won't spring back... it will stay down and the affect is to have both low and high beam lights engaged. Check that switch and make sure there is nothing going on there. Maybe you have a modded switch already?

I will check the switch to see, thanks.

Its strange because when I start the Scoot just the low beams are on, after running idle for 5 seconds the full beam comes on, when I press to flash both high beams will come on, if I push down to have full beams on all the time the right goes off and the left comes on. Am i missing something is it mean to be this way? I dont remember the right being on all the time

Someone has played with the wiring at some point. I'm afraid this is not going to diagnosed remotely - someone who knows their electrics needs to get hands-on.

Agree with Jimc...
If the switch is stock, I would look at the relays and see if someone did some modifications to the existing wiring.

Updated my profile guys.

Just to let you know that know mods have been added to this Bike, and the switch is the original. The issue started after I have to swapped fuse 4 out as the lights and turn signals were not working.

In hindsight I might be going mad and overthinking it. I know one light will be on at all times, it just seems that its on highbeam

Perhaps someone swapped the bulbs.
