Hello,
I've just joined, but I've been reading for the last few days. Going to pick up my new MP3 from the dealer tomorrow.

I'm a little concerned that there are no dealers near me. The nearest is about 100 miles away. Should I be?

Others are probably more knowledgeable than I am, but it seems to me that I have not gone to my dealer, except for routine service, and in the rare event you drop it and need body repair.

So, it is a concern to be 100 miles away, but it may not make any difference at all!

My MP3 has been completely trouble free for 2,000 miles. In fact, I just did an oil & oil filter change this afternoon (nothing to it). Tomorrow, I'm cleaning the air filter element, and that should be that until 4,000 miles, at which time, I'll do it all over again.

At 6,000 miles I'll take it to the dealer, and have them do the service, so that they can inspect the scooter for anything out of the ordinary. That's it!

I brought it home (over 100 miles...too long a ride for first time) in the truck today. Put about 20 miles on it once I got home and I love it. My wife is excited about learning to ride and I'm thinking, by the time the 400cc (or whatever) models get here, I might be able to convince her to let me get a larger one and she'll take this one.

Just keep an eye on your tire pressure.I let mine get a little low when I 1st got mine.

Here's my new MP3 and me.

I also have a red one. I have over 4000 miles and all is fine...except for the deer. see my post. It likes rear tires. I just put my third tire on. I also installed a Givi windshield...the stock one does not block much air. See my post. Have fun motorcycle bill
