5pm traffic....I come up to a line of backed up cars. I go slow...then pull to the right onto the grass to pass the cars...going about 10mph. Then I come to the end of the grass..I see a curb with a decent size drop. I brake...wet grass...the scoot slips from under me and I go shoulder first into the grass and slide over the curb drop onto a side street. A lady in her car yells, "Are you okay?!" I didn't even look back at her...I was sooo embarrassed. Got a minor scratch on my left elbow and an oozing rug burn on my left shoulder.

My scoot is 99% okay. I had a large chunk of grass stuck on my kick start (I'm sure that gave the traffic some good laughs ). And there's a half inch scratch on the left side of the leg shield, with a very minor dent...and a crack in the silver leg shield piping.

Also, when I hold the handlebars straight, the scooter goes slightly to the right. I hope nothings bent.

Oh, and thanks to this, I will NEVER be without my helmet.

As long as you're up and about, still logging into the site, it's a good sign.
(That, and being covered)

It's known to happen. Happened to me when the GTS went down in gravel (light twist). And then again when it fell over on a drunken Glassaye Labor Day weekend (REALLY twisted it).

At low speed, I doubt the fork has been tweaked; just readjust the bolt behind the headlamp (or have the dealership do it for you)

You can be pretty sure that it is just the wheel alignment with the handlebars and nothing more serious.

As mentioned above there is a bolt inside the headset that you can losen and then align things up and tighten again. If you are happy opening up the headset then it is a DIY job, if not pop into the dealers and it will take them about 30 mins at the most.

If you do it yourself, I suggest you open it up, adjust, ride to test and then close up if you are happy as it can look right and not feel right when you are riding.

Charles.

PS: Stay off the grass!
