I have a 2007 and it was green. Mine was low as well so I used the motul ready to use. It is what motorsports recommends..

I have a 2007 GTV with pink coolant and a 2007 GTS with green coolant. Not knowing why they are different colors would it be safe to use Motul coolant in both of them?

Hi,
There is currently no Int'l., US, or even Industry standard for color-coding the various types of Engine Coolant. So, if you're not sure exactly what's already in it, the prudent thing to do is to drain and flush the system and add fresh OAT based coolant (Long-Life) and label the info. on the backside of the of the coolant check access cover (date it too). That will eliminate any confusion in the future. That said, generally speaking, OAT based coolants are typically Red, Pink, Yellow or Green and conventional inorganic coolants are typically Blue or Green, but as I said, not always. If your coolant is Green, then it's a toss-up and personally, I'd drain and flush the system to be certain. This procedure is not a very difficult task as compared to many of the maintenance procedures required and it's cheap insurance against much more costly and time-consuming consequences if incompatible coolants are accidentally mixed. Hope this helps... Happy Motoring!... jIM |

green or orange?
Thanks for all the response!
My scooter dealer said to use green coolant with out mixing with water. However, the guy who runs my vehicle oil change place, said there was a difference between car and scooter coolant. Its seems to me that coolant has always been green. Lately I have seen some that was orange. I think I will drain the stuff and start over.. Thanks Papabear. |

haven't used any yet, but I have a gallon of premix prestone that claims you can use it in anything thats already there. I'm sure they are thinking more of automotive applications though.
