hello everyone,
I got my vespa 300 gts 2016 used with 10k on the odo.. all maintenance done on time.
I couldn't stand the rattle in the rear clutch, so I thought the hell with it.. got a delta clutch with the bell, and a malossi belt... it was amazing the rattle is 95% gone and no more vibrations at take off, thanks to the harder white clutch springs.
anyway I got a multivar kit, due to everyone saying its night and day. installed the contra spring ( white ) and the variator with 15g rollers (for some reason I didn't get the 16s and the 14s.. but I got the kit for a good price. so I installed it and I DIDNT LIKE the way it accelerates and poor topend.. maybe because of the lighter 15g rollers. I understand that I should get the 16s for the 300gts... but theyre not available atm...
so I removed the variator and contra spring... bike was good .. but not great.. I installed the white contra spring with the stock variator and stock 13.9 rollers. and man.. I think this is the best combo for now..
so my question is.. has anyone done this before and what do you suggest I do next with the rollers or do you suggest I return the stock contra spring? well I did the VARIATOR MARKER TEST. and the belt went all the way up when it was on the middle stand with traction off.. I mean in place... didn't test it on the road..
so I know the contra spring isn't too stiff for the stock rollers...
I heard a lot about the dr pulley sliders.. 13g... does anyone suggest that this is could be the final piece of my clutch puzzle ? or should I go back to my stock spring and install the sliders.. plz share ur thoughts.. thank you!
