I have been working for the past 2 or 3 years to rebuild my Custom 64 Allstate and I'm finally done. I have dubbed her Scooterbaker.

That my friend is mean. That is one of the coolest scoots I have seen. From the back it looks like the bat mobile or something, it is truly cool and should live in my garage.

Yeah, I'm really happy with how the seat came out. I carved it out of foam and then fiberglassed over that. Lots of sanding, lots of layers. I also cast an aluminum hinge to hold it, and stitched the red leather cushion.

I'd like to do some body and paint work on my next major project, an 62 GL, but I don't have any illusions that it's going to look that good.

Did you hotrod the motor any? A scoot that sweet should be hella fast, too, IMO

I did up the cylinder from stock 125 to 150 with a 20/20 carb. I can't say it's really a hotrod, but it's fast enough for me. I wasn't sure how it was going to handle on 8 inch wheels so I didn't want to over do it.

Not everyone's definition of a Good Time involves insanely over-powered motors, although did put a fairly hot motor in my VBB just for the ridiculous acceleration and easy wheelies I'd git with 10" gearing and an 8" conversion kit.

problem with that plan was that I used a Malossi 166 I had on the shelf, so the power band went from "narrow" to "non-existent," so back to the drawing board on that one...
