Howdy y'all,

Newbie. Philly. GT200. 04.

Former Ruckus owner whose 50cc Ruck was yoinked twice. I've installed a ground anchor and have a big ol chain. I know they can snappy snappy so I'm looking for a little more assurance. I've seen a good chunk of the products available, but am looking for something specific.

I'd like a pager alarm / remote siren that can go off in my house / keychain rather than (local) on the street to annoy my neighbors. I'm expecting lots of false positives. Ratty kids and what not.

I'm not particularly looking for a local siren... just a remote... and loud enough to wake me from sleep. Or a local/remote combo that I can disconnect the local part.

Any suggestions?

I looked at this dealy: http://www.aerostich.com/catalog/US/Scorpio-Paging-Alarm-p-17049.html but hoping there's something as effective and cheaper.

I suppose I could tie a bell to a string too. Or string cans together.

I'm thinking mostly for home use.

Also... looking for a generic cover that can be locked... don't want it to say Vespa or anything... solid color or camo.

I'll now be bugging y'all rather than the folks at totalruckus.

Same catalog:

http://www.aerostich.com/catalog/US/Gorilla-Remote-Alarm-p-17046.html

Wouldn't that do the job?

Too bad the Trunk Monkey hasn't been adapted for motorcycles and scooters, though.

thx
That's cheap enough. I'll check some reviews on the gorilla. I like the monkey too... maybe a jack-in-the-box under the seat will work similarly.

That ones not going to do what he needs it to though. That's the same alarm I had on my Stella. Pretty good but it's not going to transmit anyplace.

That Scorpio alarm is your best bet and there are some off brands of the same thing that are probably cheaper. A buddy just had one installed on his Burgman.

http://internatrix.com/index.html Much cheaper at $139.00

You can disable the siren on the scoot itself if you don't want to use it. Then it will only notify you on the paging unit. I'm not sure about volume though. May not wake you up or anything.

Come on out and meet up some Sunday at Mrs. K's - 4th and Chestnut around 1100-1130!! I'm out numbered by Kymco's and Genuines!!

I found this too.

I ended up going with a gorilla and figure I'll just deactivate it remotely (if need be).

Doing the MS150 this weekend on a proper 2 wheeler (0gpm what what). Will get out next time.

going with a local alarm for now... will look into installing a remote pager at a later time.

considering an armored jacket / hoodie for my next purchase.
