Just 4 weeks yotheir day after a total knee replacement I was able to take the GTS out today I found it a bit terrorising how much easier it was than I expected to take it off and put it back on the center stand. it also felt better riding than sitting as a passenger in a car. Who'd have thunk?

Still a work in lrogress but I had an excellent surgeon and PT. Modern medicine can do miracles.

It helps to be highly motivated and have an excellent surgeon as well as PT team. This replacement was due to the repair to my knee after a scooter accident 6.5 years ago started collapsing so it isn't your typical bone on bone situation. I will say if you ever need to have one do PT both before and after. It makes a huge difference.

Besides I've got a swim with the dolphins booked while on our Panama Canal cruise next month. I need to be back to normal by then.

I have been off the scoot since last September, learned how to walk again circa march still waiting to see a consultant for my knee, I hope they can get me what you got!.

Congrats and welcome back to riding.
Like you said, it's both the surgeon and the PT that determines the outcome.
I've known a couple of people that thought they knew better than the physical therapists and took the lazy route and had bad outcomes.

++ on the PT before and after. Did my knees a year apart, and the second knee rehabbed much faster because I prepared much better.
