Modern Vespa

I appreciate that M/V sends me a notice to my in box at my E mail when I am following or commenting on a topic in a thread.

But why is it that I have to scroll through the entire thread to get to the last post when I open the thread ?

Hope that is clear enough to understand.

Is there something in my settings that needs to be changed ?

When I get a message from the ADV site , it opens to the last posting.

Assuming you are logged in, clicking on the red arrowhead in the left column will take you to the next post after the last one you've read. The tiny "folded down page" icon in the far right column will take you directly to the last post in the thread.

Not sure I understand your instructions, but the next time something shows up in my inbox I'll look for what you said.

Forget the emails - if you post quite a bit they get VERY IRRITATING. Turn that function off in your profile, there's no need for it. The icon at the far left of each thread has an extra little arrow if you've contributed to that thread - which is far less intrusive but just as informative as those dratted emails.

Are you clicking on the red arrow when you open the thread? Red arrow will take you to the next post made after your last look at that thread.

It is the delta-shaped arrow next to the title that you click to open the thread.

See right pointing arrow to the fR left of the each thread topic in the picture below. If its red, there are new posts in that thread. If its gray, there aren't any new posts.

He's talking about the link in his email, NOT the main forum pages.

The LINK takes him to the middle of the threads page.

Nothing to do with the main page red arrow.

I rarely check the box that sends me an email about new posts in threads I follow. I just go to the website and look to see what posts have new content. Just easier for me.
