Hey guys,


Bought a 2010 GTS 300 and it ran great...until.....i hit about 83 mph and the injector housing cracked (unrelated i'm sure) so i ordered a new one and changed it out. Now the scooter wont start at all.....getting gas, getting spark, cranks...but no go.

Is there an antitheft or reset of any kind that needs to be done?

Changing the injector shouldn't cause any problems, unless it is larger one and is causing flooding. Check that the socket part of the injector isn't damaged or cracked where it joins the body, and check the fine wires that go into the injector plug.

If you remove the injector and connect the plug to it and start the engine, does fuel squirt out?

I once had an injector that was jammed open, and fuel poured through as soon as I switched the ignition on and the fuel pump started.

Where did you order the injector from? Is it an OEM replacement or an aftermarket unit?

If there is no fuel coming out of the injector when you test it, then check the injector impedance with a multimeter. The figures you need are in the workshop manual. It may just be a faulty injector, which can happen.
