Some people know me as a "renaissance man", as I continually try and extend my reach of knowledge and experiences. I took a macaron class during the summer. Making these delightful treats, involves science, chemistry, alchemy and some form of sacrifice to the gods of baking. Perfecting this has taken many trials (to the delights of our family and friends). Bonnie and I always operate as a team in the kitchen and this is just another one of those things which makes me LOVE my 43 years with her (amongst so many others).
For Canadian thanksgiving along with sous-vide turkey, these yummy treats will be part of desert. Moral: Bake something for someone, or cook something for someone. It is the truest form of caring and affection you could express, because it came from YOU.
