Hi Guys,

Thanks in advance for your help.

I am getting some high Frequency vibration at higher speeds.

These have been occurring randomly but usually stick around for a week or 2.

Vibration definitely feels like it is coming from transmission gears, or possibly wheel bearings or motor bearings, difficult to pin point.

It may also be an exhaust issue as I have a polini pipe on, that recently required a manifold replacement.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Check to see if your belt is coming apart. That's the most likely part to actually become unbalanced. If you've hit the case a lot with it, there is a chance that some of the top part has broken off.

Gts Vibration from transmission or motor as speed
Thanks MotoVista

Will definitely take a look, makes a lot of sense.

Temps getting really hot here in South Africa, temp now seems to be idleing higher than usual...

Going to also change the gear oil suspect it wasn't changed at my last service.

Thanks for the help

Also, when was the last time the variator came off for a clean and new rollers? Sometimes a roller will stick and cause vibration during running. Then it frees itself and everything is fine until you start to run slow again, or fast or whatever, but a roller/s can occasionally stick due to dirt and wear.

Think you nailed it.

Vibration seems to be eliminated once I accelerate past 120km/h.

I will open up and send pics, thanks guys.
